I have always wanted to move to Orange County. I'm seeing good things about it on TV. Is it really like what TV interprets it to be?

Should I move there? I was planning on somewhere like Newport Beach, or Anaheim Hills.

I don't mind earthquakes or fires; natural disasters aren't a factor. Oh, and money isn't a factor either.

Nothing is like it is on TV.

I wouldn't worry about earthquakes, they don't happen very often (at least where you would feel them) and are very localized. You could have a major earthquake in one part of Orange County and not have any damage in another. Same goes for fires (to an even larger degree).

Are you sure money isn't a factor, it's very expensive to live in the section of Orange County are have in mind. Homes start at $750K and go up from there (and we are not talking a big house either). If you want the TV version, you want Newport Beach. There are even sections of Santa Ana that are expensive. I have a friend who lives in SA and their house it worth amost $1.5M.

Like most things, the TV view of Orange County is highly exaggerated. In lot of ways it's just like any other city. However, there are an greater-than-usual number of shopping, dining, and plastic surgery options. It's a fun place to be young and single. Be aware that the posh, socialite scene is very insular - if you're thinking of breaking into it, you'll find it difficult. You'd better have the right job and drive the right car. If you're looking more for the surfing set, you'll probably have better luck.

I stay in Orange County :) So i might say a very mind-blowing place crammed with palm wood and seashores and topic parks lol I additionally think of of materialistic human beings and shops ( i propose the main important mall interior the west coast and costliest interior the international is right here in OC). Orange County is a huge place, all you adult males could come flow to :) don't be fooled although no longer all of Orange County is crammed with super rich human beings, maximum of it rather is middle classification. yet nonetheless i word even the no longer so rich human beings could be materialistic and showy at circumstances which makes me laugh :p
