Are pomegranate seeds (arils) a safe treat for my pet mice?

Question

I know that they should only be given small amounts of fruits and vegetables as treats now and then, and I know all the basics like apples and carrots and such, but I can't find anything about pomegranates. I see research studies saying they give them pomegranate juice and such, but we all know that what they do in labs isn't necessarily in the best interest of the animals. I can't imagine that it would really be bad for them but I thought I would ask before I try. If nobody knows and I do try, what should I watch for? Just diarrhea or are there other symptoms to look out for? Thanks in advance!

my mice never had a problem with them. you may want to watch that they don't eat the actual seed inside though just the meat off of it.

ME PERSONALY I DONT NO MUCH ABOUT MICE BUT I DO NO THAT HAMSTERS AND MOST SMALL PETS CAN NOT MY ASSOMTION IS NO !!!!!!!!!! YOU COULD ALSO GO ONTO THE PHONE BOOK AND LOOK IN THE YELLOW PAGES AND THE PHONE# WILL BE LISTED LOOK OUT FOR ANY SIMTOMS ANY THING FROM NO SLEEP TO NO AWAKENESS IF THERE FOOD PATTERNS CHANGE THEY RE SURE TO BE SICK KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED

In general, what a hamster can have a mouse can have...
What my husband and i do is if we can't find info about it or hamsters can't have it, we won't give it to our mice.

When you have something in the fridge and you don't know if it's any good, there's the saying "when in doubt, throw it out"... well, if you're in doubt about giving your pets something, don't... better safe than sorry you know.
