I want to learn SQL from a free online tutorial. Is there a special SQL program I need to buy or download to practice with it or could I use my word processor or what?

To the previous poster's point, Access's query designer allows you to toggle between design view and SQL view. It's a good way to get started. A note of caution: Access's documentation for SQL is scant at best. The cite, below, is a good resource for learning the basics.

Windows Access has SQL and a help menu.
