They need to trade Schaub..but not for what their asking. He's not worth a 1st and 3rd round pick together. Maybe 2nd or a 3rd.

I watched Petrino and his younger brother coach at Louisville for a few years now. And if there's one thing I've learned it's Petrino is going to do what he wants, on his terms, and he ALWAYS has a plan. Schuab is his back-up plan. He's going to give Vick enough power over his own destiny, so that it blows up in his face when he doesn't perform up to the standards he should be performing. Petrino's system depends on a throwing QB, which we all know Vick is not, and Petrino knows that if he benches Vick....and the Falcons office wants to rid of him for that, he can always take a top job in college football or somewhere else in the NFL. So with Schaub there, he can easily throw Schuab into the mix and know that Schaub will at least do decent because of his style.
And as far as the Falcons and Schuab not taking the bait on deals to go elsewhere, I think they know as well as everyone that when Vick self-destructs (due to either on the field or off the field behavior) Schaub's going to be the one there to pick up the pieces. He knows the personnel in Atlanta and should something happen, will have already learned Petrino's system. And they know what they're getting with Schaub.
If for some reason Vick does succeed in the new system then they'll let Schaub go next off-season.

Vick is better than Schaub. But the Falcons need Schaub as a Back-Up cause the dangerous style Vick plays. If Vick gets hurt they need a good QB behind their No. 1 and Schaub is good No. 2.

Michael Vick is a great quarterback. If they thought Schaub is better than him, they would have benched Vick. Schuab will remain a backup under Vick for a while. Some debate has been around moving Vick to wide out or half back, if this happens, Schuab will see some playing time.

Unless they find a way to get rid of or utilize Micahel Vick in another way, Matt Schaub will see limited playing time. The guy has talent, but the Falcons are too preoccupied with Vick to see what he can really do.

I ask you to have self assurance in the Atlanta Falcons as I do. i'm additionally a fan and characteristic had countless problems by way of fact of Vicks overall performance on the sphere. you could evaluate countless aspects for the justifications in the back of this commerce. a million. it could be extra durable to commerce Vick than Schaub. - Vick has an fairly super settlement and if the falcons traded him they could be the loser. 2. They weren't going to re-sign Schaub by using the tip of the season. that's good that they have got been given something for his properly worth rather of letting him walk. 3. Now the Falcons can wait for convalescing their group in the draft. Now to your hatred against Vick, I understand. yet i think of he had the main drop passes final season. The receiving middle became no longer good in any respect. additionally i'd supply him a 2nd risk by way of fact of recent education. Petrino is going to fuse some new existence into this group. additionally final 12 months the Falcons OC and DC have been undesirable. undesirable play calling. As for Atlanta's 1st around %.. i'd be very dissatisfied in the event that they draft a QB. Petrino has already stated Vick is the Falcons QB. Getting a QB isn't a prefer for this group and he would sit down on the bench and be ineffective. The Falcons prefer in the draft are safeties, protecting ends and O-Linemen. QB isn't likely. i could see them drafting a QB in the later rounds yet no longer in the 1st. If the Falcons are ever going to bypass after a QB, don't be bowled over in the event that they attempt to draft Brohm out of Louisville next 12 months. to no count if the Falcons traded away their maximum suitable QB. i'd say no. - Vick is the chief of the group - Schaub has had little sport adventure supply Vick of undertaking. i'm.

Keep him sitting on the bench behind Michael(worthless)Vick. I don't know if Schaub is the answer for Atlanta, but Vick sure isn't. To those who say "trade Vick to Oakland", why do you hate Oakland so much? We have enough problems without Vick.

with the new Head Coach, he will give Vick all the power in the huddle so he will be the one calling the audible at the line. That way he cannot blame nobody but himself. For Matt Schaub he is an excellent pocket passing QB, I think he will stay in Atlanta but he would be a better candidate for the job in Carolina or dare I say it Oakland.

Schaub will be the future starting quarterback of the Falcons. Under his leadership they will get back into the playoffs. Vick will quit the NFL to become a drug dealer and spread herpes.
