Cool! Good job! The world needs more parents like you! Just so you know, I am a teenager with a mom like you. :) I'm not always happy with her decisions, but at least I know she cares.

Thank goodness someone stands up for what they believe in Espically where children are concerned. There are times when I think schools should take a second look at some decisions, but if you say something your called troublemaker. But if we as parents got together and said hey thats not right, The results would be for the good. Keep speaking up for what you believe in Good Job

I support you all the way! I too only let my kids on the computer when I am with them.
If you are talking about the "penis" avatar, yes I saw it, and I reported him!
Thank you for being a parent who cares! God bless you.

As the father of five, I agree totally. Your kids should not be coming to Answers, because of the adult themes quite often discussed. It is absolutely your job to monitor what your children do online, but not your job to regulate what other consenting adults do. If Yahoo deems something inappropriate, I feel sure they will take corrective action. But
Yahoo will not censor EVERYTHING that you personally find objectionable, therefore you need to do that on your own. Good luck to you .

I think more parents should excersise their right to tell their kids, "no." If yoiu don't want kids watching or listening to something then you as their parent have every right to turn it off and tell them, "no" and if they want to argue then just tell them, "my house, my rules. If you don't like that then get a job and YOU start paying the rent/mortgage." That's what my mom did with me. Too many parents give thier kids whatever they want just to get their kids to stop whinning, and then they wonder why their kids are spoiled when they grow up. And in some cases the kids expect to recieve certain unearned grades in school and the parents try to sue.

I agree that parents need to take a stand for what they think is right and protect their children from negative influences and factors in this world... I am a teacher and I wish more parents would stand up to their children to teach them what is right and stop trying to be their best friends. I also think parents need to be more protective as to what their children watch on tv and what they do in their spare time.

So where is the question? Type something better than a rant next time. If people (yourself included) utilized this service correctly it would be easier to regulate.
I understand this seems to have something to do with a perv.
Why not put a better question out there on ways for YA to be tweaked to avoid this kind of thing.
After seeing your edits I understand what you your grievance and agree: That behavior was not on at all.
That said though......sort out the construction of your question in regards to clarity, punctuation, and grammar it only damages you point otherwise.

& give you pay back all the time & have your answers deleted

Well, I'm no a parent. I saw it the other day and I was offended! And it wasn't late at night either. And I wondered how many kids saw it.

Power to the people.
Fight for your rights, but don't take mine away, that's what I think.
I monitor my kids' exposure to things and am generally appalled by what other people let their kids do. HOWEVER I let my kids listen to any kind of music, including Eminem, and my sister freaked on me because it was "graphic." I listen to everything they listen to and discuss the lyrics with them, and even download the lyrics myself to make sure they aren't too explicit. There are lots of songs I ban, but plenty that pass the Sassymom-meter. I'd rather know what they're listening to than having them sneak nasty music past me.
I'm not sure what you're fighting for or about, but good luck and remember not to dictate rules to others.
