Ethnocentrism is the spelling and it means the belief in the inherent superiority of one's own ethnic group or culture.

If you mean ETHNOCENTRISM...it is a belief that your own ethnic or cultural group is superior to others'. For instance, a lot of Americans tend to think that they have the best country, the best government, the highest standard of living in the world, and that all other countries are in one way or another inferior. Often, one trip abroad can change that viewpoint!

looks like a French spelling of the English "ethnocentrism". Well, think about it this way - do you know any self-centered people who measure everything only by how it affects them ? Who aren't really interested in anything outside of themselves? An ethnocentric person is similarly uninterested in things beyond his own ethnic group, and tends to disparage or disregard "foreign" things as unimportant or unnecessary. "Chauvinistic" is a term that has a lot of overlap with "ethnocentric".
