Many times. As a young child out in the backwoods, when we had a nice gentle summer rain without thunder and lightning, Mom sent us outside with a bar of soap and a washcloth to take a shower in the rain. We didn't have running water in the house so that was the only time we could bathe without hauling water from the cistern and heating it on the stove to take a bath. We aren't talking a century ago-this was in the late 1950's and early 1960"s.
