First off, Toronto will most likely NOT make the playoffs. When haelthy, the mapes are a dominant force . But with thomas kaberle out (the key backbone to T.O's power play) indefinetly and the way they have been playing lately (5-1 loss to WASHINGHTON come on) Another thing to take into concideration is the play off Andrew Raycroft. Over the pass years Toronto's goal tending position was always filled with notable names (ed belfour, Curtis joseph,Felix Potvin) But you have to ask your self, is Raycroft that good? With a below average goals against average of 2.96 I don't think he can get the job done (maybe 1st round playoffs but thats it)

Now for the Habs. They have a better chance of making the playoffs (by not much though). With Christobal huet out due to injury they have been playing with a call up who was very shakey during his first game. Alex kovalev is coming back from that nerve thing and he might be able to contribute to there ddash to the playoffs. If huet comes back sooner then their chances will rise.

For the Habs, if they don't pick it up, they'll never make it into any of the last few spots. They've got to have a much better defense and stop letting in such easy goals if they want to make it to the Playoffs.

As for the Leafs, same thing goes, looking at some of their last games. Especially the 5-1 loss to Ottawa.

exciting sequence. in the playoffs Leafs won't play the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and with an entire roster will replace Orr and McLaren with Frattin and Colborne. O'Byrne and Fraser will ought to take on the scuffling with obligations which against Montreal is nil. i will see it coming right down to the goalies. Reimer out duels cost in six.

I think NY/NY/TB will get the last 3 spots. My first alternate would be Carolina followed by T.O. then Montreal so I think no is the answer. That said, who knows for sure? Who thought that TB would get spanked by Washington yesterday? Anything can happen, but if you are a betting man, I would say in the order I mentioned. NYI are there on the assumption that DiPietro is back soon too.
