Sorry, but developing arm strength for throwing a FB is different than a pitcher in baseball where you can increase velocity with a strong leg drive. The QB must be able to throw on the run, back peddling and flat footed. Sure the legs can help you unleash the long ons farther when you can set up and air it out, but that's not what's most important or the most difficult to develope.

The drill you're looking for is to throw the the ball from your knees. Face your target. Shoulders and knees sqare to it. When throwing point your left shoulder at the target then rotate to open up back to square as you throw ( Don't forget to follow through) keeping your keens still. Move you target back as you get stronger.

And sorry Stamford but the forearm muscles are not the tricepts.
Tricepts the back of the upper arm, opposit the bicept

Arm strength..Your lower body is where the real strength come from...All those great athelete's have large Torso muscles...Big *** and Thigh muscles. Ask your coach..
Or your Dr. In knesiology(study of muscles)you will find this to be true. True u use them all not just the arm, but develop the lower body also.
Sorry about the a--
How about the gluteus maximus or rear end

lift weight over your head keeping arms straight, then bend your arms so that the weight is behind your head, your elbows should still be pointing straight up. you need a overhand grip on the bar, then straighten your arms, repeat. This should give your triceps a real workout. also anything that would mimic a pass like a excersize that you would stretch across your body.

Actually, its not the biceps, its the triceps. Also good sholder muscles and chest, but the triceps help and so does sholder muscles.

your forearm muscles (triceps) are your throwing muscles for every sport. those are the ones that make you throw farther. biceps are just for show.
