depends! Is the pizza HOT? did you get what you wanted? did he offer you condiments like peppers or Parmesan cheese? If he (or she) was able to do these things I do 20% Doing this ensures the next time I order they will remember I was a good tipper and bend over backwards to make me happy! Plus here in so Cal GAS IS EXPENSIVE!

The Delivery charge does not always go to The driver. Pizza hut ,Dominos, and Hungry Howies all give less then half off the delivery charge to driver. The other they keep Because they do carry a Liability coverage on all employees. They also have to pay for their background checks, driving records etc.
Now, I feel if the weather is terrible, and your driver gets there and is super nice, and polite then tip them more. It's called hazard pay.
When your pizza doesn't get there in 30 /45 min. Don't get pissed. Your not the only customer in the world, and Half the time it's not even the drivers fault.
Most places drivers don't even take the orders, so please think about that next time before saying "if they offer extra"
Being a driver is hard work. I worked at a place for 6 6 months, And put 17k miles on my car. . I had to pay my own oil changes, breaks, tires etc.
So tipping your driver does help with that.
But you are right, when you tip more, the driver is going to want to bend over backwards to make you happy.
But regardless tip at leAst 15% . Or go pick it up yourself.
If the driver is awesome, then more.or ets say u live on floor number.7 , and order $50 worth of food. Tip a bit more, for the trouble/effort

How Much To Tip Delivery

2016-12-12 17:11:37 · answer #3 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

I think that He/She should be tiped at least 10 dollars. Of course, that depends on the service. If the pizza place you are dilevering from takes 30 minutes to get there, around 35-40 minutes is a reasonable time which deserves a good $10 tip. if it takes longer than 50 minutes, I say give him or her an ok $5. if it takes longer, the pizza is cold and they deserve at most $3. If the weather is HOTTT give them a little more and if it is COLDDD give them a little more.

No matter what you tip a
Pizza driver, your order won't be any more correct or less screwed up than the assembly topping putter onner that either followed instructions or didnt.

Nothing pisses me off more than getting a royally screwed up pizza after having given the pizza driver a good tip. THEY should be responsible for checking. Then they might deserve/earn a tip.

It depends on whether they re prompt, and whether there s a
delivery charge. Domino s, for example, adds a delivery charge,
so that reduces the amount of money I have available for
the driver. I usually end up tipping about $4 regardless of
the total cost.

I usually tip 20-25%

2015-10-06 15:01:00 · answer #7 · answered by Nightshade 1 · 0 0

15-20% if the order is correct and on time.
Always tip at least 3 dollars if the driver uses his/her own vehicle.
He/she has to pay for gas, tires, oil changes, & all vehicle maintenence.
The car itself that cost at least 10k and will have 200k miles on it after 5yrs
of pizza delivering. If it's a company vehicle being used then it really doesnt matter how much you tip.

If the pizza arrives within 30 minutes then 20%, 45 minutes then 15%. More than that, call the pizza place!

How would I know if he drove his own car, or if its hot or correct, I am paying at the door. Usually $2, but most often go get it myself as prices are higher and I am lucky to be able to afford the pizza period.
