How long do you think he'll be out? Can he still play this season?

Nothing has changed in the original prognosis for Joe Johnson, meaning he could be out three to four weeks, or sit down for the rest of the season with a deep contusion in his right calf.

"I think a lot of it depends on how Joe feels," coach Mike Woodson said. "If he's not comfortable I'm not going to push him at all. I won't play Joe if he's not healthy, where he hurts himself further. That's just how I view things. But ultimately, it's up to Joe. It all depends on how he feels." We'd be very surprised to see Johnson take the court again this season, as there will be little point once the Hawks are officially out of the playoff race.

He shouldn't be. The injury is just a bruised right calf. It can be a painful injury which is why he was out, but to be honest I'm a bit surprised that he's been out as long as he has been. I think that he is just trying to make sure that it's fully healed before he comes back so that he doesn't risk a more serious injury. I wouldn't expect him to be out too much longer.
