places to live in San Diego?

can someone please tell me what are the safe neighborhoods in San Diego? Im moving down there to go to school and want to rent an apartment in a safe area close to everything ( ie. junior colleges, SDSU, and shopping centers)

Yes, South Park, Ocean Beach and La Jolla.

South Park fits all those needs and isn't that expensive.
