Yep. You don't need your parents permission or anything. Just take them to the bank.

You should roll them first though. It's not actually required but it sure makes it a lot easier.

I bank with bank one /chase and they require an account number to be written on the coins.
I got address labels and typed the number on them using a word document (you only have to type it once and the program will make the other 100 copies for you)
Then I stuck the address labels with the account number on them.
Call the bank first to see what they require.
If they require you to have an account number, this method will save you from having to write your (or your mothers) account number 50 times.

If you have a little brother or sister AND if you have alot of coins, why not have them help you to count them.
You can ask them to put the coins in stacks of ten.
Have them do the pennies, it will keep them busy for hours and they will really be happy to know that they are helping you. You can even be the hero by giving them a buck for all of the help!
(it will make your mom happy too!)

They defiantly will if you have the coins rolled. They will take loose change if they have a change counter. I'd call the bank your parents use and ask if the coins have to be rolled in wrappers, if so they can send you the wrappers.

My personal experience is that banks refuse to take your coins, wrapped or not, adult or child, if you don't have an account with them. So I'd check first to avoid disappointment. And CoinStar at grocery stores is a huge ripoff.
