yes it is normal for a girl to not start her period at her age. Because take it from me I'm 15 and in a couple of weeks I will be 16 yr. old and I haven't started mines. Went to the doctor (women doctors) and she told me that it was normal for a girl to don't start her period. Some girl don't start their period until 18 yr. old. But you should go to the doctor. and they will do some blood works and have any ultra- sound to see if your ovals are swell. and then if that come out good. then they will put you on a 10 day Birth control pills. to see if your period comes on. And if it does then nothing is wrong with you. It's just that your body is developing to fast and your body needs to catch up with it. But take it form me, I was scary that something was wrong with me. But the doctor explain to me that what I explain to you, was happening to me.
I hope that I help you with your problem.

I started when I was 12. My big sister didn't start until she was almost 18. When Mom took her to the doctor (like 3 times) they each told her that she was okay. Ask your mom to take you to the doctor if you are concerned.

I have heard of "late bloomers" before... In fact, my friend at work told me she didn't get hers til age 17. I know that sounds late, but some girls start as early as 9! (like my daughter for instance). It happens.... I bet it'll be here before the year is up :). Just sit tight.
