Because they lied to the whole world to get elected into Congress. The people who voted for them are blind, if they can not see this.

A mandate?? LOL..they thought they did, however if you look at the numbers, most of the seats lost by a Republican to a Democrat also had a Libertarian running. Since Libertarians are by far closer to Republicans than Democrats, a percentage of what would have normally voted R, ended up voting L, giving the Ds the win.

It is an illusion I commonly refer to as the "Nader/Perot effect". You get someone so close to jump in the race, they make the opposing party feel like they won, when really it was just a technicality..like Perot's or Nader's bid for the White House.

Besides, these guys "OWN Congress" and they couldn't even get a Non-binding resolution to pass through the Senate on the very subject of why they claimed to be victorious..."the Iraq War and no confidence in President Bush".

But I have to admit, it was nice seeing Pelosi's face after the Senate turned down her pet project!

Now that I guess we have been told by the left Polls matter, it comes from the posturing for votes instead of bringing forth any real plans for Iraq along with the fracturing of the Democratic party as Palosi can not control the left to the far left. Even the Lefts Washington Post has blasted Palosi for just putting forth non binding resolutions that have no contingencies or forward planning. 08 is not in the bag as they thought.

They here the clock ticking like The Hook did in Peter Pan. Tick tock, tick tock....time is running out. They made the deal with the voters and won't be able to deliver. Fred Thompson will be the next president and a new republican house and senate will be in for 8 years. Hallelujah!

Because Reps are angry from the election and Dems are mad because they haven't done any of it yet and seem to be coping out on their responsibilities.Nobody is ever happy with congress, A typical decent approval rating is 50%.

Not a matter of support. They have a narrow majority that is vulnerable to veto. This is politics.
They inherited the low rating from the GOP, but it is slowly going up.

Media is run by libs yet they scream and yell all the time how unfair it all is to them. There are no alternative programs forthcoming from the Dems. Taxes will skyrocket if one of them is elected in 2008. The list goes on and on.

They are pathetically lying and causing deceptions of caring, while doing nothing productive. That's nothing new for them also. But throw out some gay marriage initiative and you will see them get something done that is binding...go think!

Their worse than the Republicans. I don't think Congress has been this bad in the Post WW2 era.
