I want to know what I should do. Karate or What?

I've been doing Karate for a year and I have to say, I am getting tired of the WHOLE thing.

The Instructors.
The bowing.
The non-existent "Cmon guys work harder"" more like "What is that! No, do it like this."
Stealing my money.
The Teachers a showoff.

I really want to join Basketball, but I already missed the sign up date. And my mom wants me to do swimming lessons if I quit Karate, which I don't mind, I kinda suck at swimming and need to get better.

What should I do, say quit Karate, practice basketball by myself and do swimming?

Or should I stay?

well you don't want to be a quitter, the main thing to do is ask yourself why you want to quit, are these lame excuses because the works to hard and you don't like the criticism?
The other thing is why did you join up in the first place, and did you achieve the goal you set for yourself? Remember when the going gets tough the tough get going, so prove to your instructor and yourself you can do this. You will feel a lot better about yourself after wards. It may not seem like a big deal now but you don't want to start getting in the habit of quiting because things aren't perfect. The worlds not perfect and you'll be quiting everything. You can ask anybody that has ever achieved anything worthwhile, it took hard work and discipline.

There really is no point to pursuing something you won't have fun with. You could sign up for swimming just for this season; not only would you improve your own swimming ability, but you'll also condition yourself for basketball next year. If you aren't good at swimming now, it will be a good challege and it's very likely you'll learn to swim really well. Whatever you do, make sure it's something you'll have fun with.
Good luck!

if you dont like karate then quit. its pointless to do something that causes you misery. mabe try to get into baseball, but if you cant get into swim. at my school you can still join the swim team because there arent that many people, mabe its your case. if not, just do swim lessons untill next year. mabe you can do a sport each season (if you like swimming and have done karate, mab water polo is for you. i enjoyed it)

Swimming. You'll be able to do this for the rest of your life as it's low-impact, plus it's both an individual AND team sport. And it's a great workout. You must learn how to do the strokes correctly though.
