NO!!!!!! But in the "WHITE WORLD" YES..............I'm getting flak about this, But put it this way, How many professionals do you see with a turban on........."NONE" it's about heritage, and in the white world they don't understand..............
HISTORY speaks for itself.............Indians, African-American, Japanese, and now Muslims........

Something to think about.........

I agree with the other person answering, it all depends on the type of job you are looking for. If it's a fairly conservative environment, no. But if it's a job where a person has some flexibility on attire, then it should be fine.

Personally, I think it's always safer to go with a more conservative look when looking for work and then if you feel the work environment is open to it, then go ahead and put your hair into braids.

It depends on what job u're interested in getting employed . While as an engineer, lawyer, or doctor it may look a lil' bit unprofessional. But if u're interested in jobs in advertising, or as a member of creative team (i.e photography, design) then having braids won't hurt a hurt a person's chance at employment .

I think if the braids are in nice straight lines you are fine. Get to know the office environment before you decide to look like an out there rap star.

i don't think it is unprofessional as long as you are in the right business (i.e. wall street probably not)
my good friend was going to get hired at the bar i worked at...he was completely qualified... and they decided not to hire him b/c when he came back for his 2nd interview he had cornrows! Lame and predjudice.

Not really; depending on what profession or industry the men worked in. However, if the hair is neatly tied I think they still do look professional.

As long as they're neat looking (in straight lines), I don't see any problem with braids at all.

No, as long as it was a clean design and not ready for a touch up.
