I sold him something and he paid me about half of it and he said he was gonna pay me next month.... well that was a few months back. I tell him everyweek to bring my money but he never does. I'm not a mean person so I dont wanna start problems. How can I get my money back?

Well, you need to get him to trust you with his money first. Think of something he would want to spend money on and act like you can get it for him. Get his money and say you'll be right back. Then, be straight with him on the phone and tell him you're sorry, but he needed to pay you back and you needed your money. That may sound like a f*cked up way to do it, but you can't let people walk all over you. You gotta teach him not to f*ck around like that. "Karma" is a b*tch.

If he doesn't have the money, there is nothing you can do about it. Never let someone borrow money unless you can live without getting it back.
If he has the money, be forthright. Tell him you do not want this to get in the way of your friendship and to please pay you back. If he can't afford it, create a payment plan in writing in which he pays you a little each week, such as 10 dollars.
Don't feel that you are being mean, you are just sticking up for what is rightfully yours.

Tell him to give you the money he owes or give back the item you sold him. You operated on good faith and he should too. For the future, remember the old adage, "Neither a borrower nor a lender be." Also, don't loan a friend any money if you want to stay friends. Those sayings started somewhere and obviously with good reason.

If you have tried several times to talk to him and you haven't received it, then you only have two options:
1) Forget about the debt, chalk it up to life and never do business with the person again.
2) Take him to small claims court. You can file yourself and you don't need a lawyer. But unless it is a large sum of money involved, it may not be worth the hassle.
Outside of these two options, there is no way to make someone pay...Sorry my man.

It is assumed you also gave him the item.......
and learned a big lesson about money and friends.
Tell him If he doesnt pay as promised you are going to
come to his house when his parents are home and
repo the item.....This is not being mean it is teaching him
what life, honesty and friendship is all about. Then act on your word if he doesnt own up

This happened to me before.
If it was a small amount of money, I say just stop hanging with him. He's not trustworthy, let alone friendship worthy.
If it was a large purchase, be sure to report him to authorities.
If you just can't do it, try to ask him in a non-threatening way if he is having $$$ problems.
Hope you get your money.

If you need the money you would probably sue him. If you dont care about as much you would keep asking or make him buy you something.
