If you were in charge of Iraq what would you do to end this war in 48 hours ?

Put all the good and decent citizens into a cave
and bomb the h*** out of the terrorists getting them
all at one time instead of a few at a time.
I don't believe anything else would work in 48 hours.
These are not people you can talk to and negotiate
with. Their goal is to get rid of the US and Israel.

We are not in charge of Iraq, we are trying to help Iraq take charge. It is totally impossible to end any war like this in 48 hours, unless you surrender, go home defeated, while abandoning the people. So , I would not even try to end it in 48 hours, I would stay the course, finish the job, bring the troops home, have a huge victory celebration for them all.

Wake up and face reality, and realize that no war can be won in less than 48 hrs in Iraq. The region is too factional. Arabs, Sunnis, Kurds, Shiites, Chaldeans, clerics with personal armies... The list goes on and on... It's madness, and only with a good life for all will they cease their self-destruction.

A cold, yet fool-proof methodology for dealing with it, might be to withdraw the military to the borders, and let them fight it out, then make peace with the survivor. (Not what I actually recomend.)

hmm. that's a great question you got there, i would ask each party to be in a conference. Iwill cite each others strengths and weaknesses.i will also cite to them that war isn't the right thing to do.war brings death and more violence. i will tell them that it's better to reconcile and stop propagating violence. In that way, each party will have the idea that war isn't the right solution in Iraq.
