Who else has read this book by Stephenie Meyer? I have to say...it's one of the best vampire books I have read, not to mention with pretty good logics on vampires themselves. I like the sense that they smell others with an individual aroma...mortals at least. I plan to read the sequel, but I'm waiting until I am done with the English project on it first, so I don't get "New Moon" confused with it's prequel.

It is my favorite vampire book. I like when Eward is talking to Bella after she gets blood (in the hospital) and he says that she smelled funny for awhile and he didn't like it =) I like how vampires are portrayed in this book.
I read the squeal- It's not as good. And if you like the vampire part be prepared there isn't as much vampire action in this book. But something else does appear..... I don't want to say anything else! I hate to spoil it! (It is a bit annoying because it is also predictable- I knew what was going on for a long time--- but you should still read it =) Cool developments at the end.

I can't really add much more to what has already been said, but I do have to agree, Twilight and New Moon are some of the best vampire books I have read. I began (but never finished) a vampire series by Darren Shan that was entirely to bloody and gory. I love how these books are more interesting and funner to read. The characters have real meaning and depth, and you can really identify with them. I also like how Stephenie Meyer isn't a jerk. I have met her at a book signing. I liked both of the books equally well, and am eagerly awaiting Eclipse, which is due to be released August 7, 2007, I think.
I'm scared about what will happen if they make it into a movie. I know nobody can look exactly like Edward, or any of the vampire's for that matter, but I'm nervous about who they will get to play those characters. I know I'll end up seeing it (unless it sounds just completely horrible), even if I want to keep my images of the character.
I also have to agree that it is quite cool that you get to do a project on a such a fun book as Twilight!

Good luck with your project! I think it's great that you can do a project on a book you enjoyed so much. (It is pretty easy to distinguish between "Twilight" storyline and "New Moon" but you should probably wait until the project's done and reward yourself!)
I love Twilight. It's a great "forbidden" love story, and I agree, I really like the vampire lore Meyer came up with.

not only is it my favorite vampire book, its my favorite book ever. i agree that i like the way stephenie meyer broke out of the regular vampire persona and also included the mechanics of being and becoming a vampire. of course i love edward too, he's just so perfect....the sequel is good as so hopefully you get to read it soon!

it isn't confusing. its a great book. you should hurry up with that project since, the prequel to eclipse is on stephenie's official website and the book will be out august 7, 2007. i wish my english teacher will let us do a project like that. its is a great book!!! go to you tube and watch videos on twilight fans they dedicated to the book and all the casts who they think should be in the movie, that they hopefully will make!

I LOVE this book! it was soo... hard 2 put down! and i don't really like the sequel very much casue edward leaves in the beging and it's mostly about bella and jacob but he comes back in the middlish end adn thats wen ALOT of action takes place! and i love the endinmg to the book it's sooo..... sweet cause of wat they fight about! i can't tell u though cause it will completely spoil it!

that was a great book. the relationship between bella and edward is so entrancing. it is simple: they long to love each other but lay in different worlds. the descriptions make the book complete. i agree with the smell thing, really cool. she makes me relate to each character. can't wait for the third book!!!

I have read them both, many times over! GREAT BOOKS! Eclipse (the third in the series) comes out in August....YAY!
