Because the Universe is a living entity. It's as much a paradox as you are.

Hello. I think the reason there are so many paradoxes in life is due to our world and the human conditon being FALLEN. When sin entered this earth through Adam and Eve, it horribly devastated the way things were prior to their creation and placing in Eden. We have paradoxes because there is an enemy we cannot fight in our own strength: satan. With false religions and humanistic strivings for utopia and the worship of other things it's made it that way. Our culture worships thinness, sex, and things that are hurtful consequently it worsens the shape of life on earth. As for being an unmanageable perfectionist, lay it aside. In all human history past, present, and future... only ONE has been perfect: Jesus of Nazareth. You are on a journey to become, and it's not easy... but you can get there. God is the one who can help you with your issues, and I tend to think the perfectionist ideology you're grappling with is a symptom of more deep issues. Keep pushing and take care.

I suppose that is what makes it interesting and challenging, being a perfectionist makes life hard for you, try to accept that we are all different, thank god.

To give your brain some excercise. Try and see the joke, there is always a joke in every paradox.

No-one is perfect. Give yourself a break. The trick is not to try to eliminate the faults we think that we see in ourselves but to accept ourselves as a whole despite, or even because of them.

You are Ok - just as you are.

There only appear to be many paradoxes in YOUR life because you complicate things. Many people, who do not overly-complicate things, have no paradoxes.
