Well....there is a Sims Online game, but it is not free.
Anyway...
Virtual Magic Kingdom is very fun. All free, by Disney, but a little childish at times. www.vmk.com
Puzzle Pirates- VERY FUN! Become a pirate and join a crew! Sail ships and make money. Play puzzles, buy clothes, get pets, earn houses, own islands, sword fight, and more! SO MUCH FUN! www.puzzlepirates.com (note that you need to play on a dubloon ocean for it to be free- NOT SUSCRIPTION ocean) A lot of adults play this game.
Runescape- urgh. This game is only good if you are looking for a medviel game with some wierd stuff. super immature... www.runescape.com (its fun for a while)
Club Penguin- You must pay to get most of the features, but its still fun anyway. You get to become a penguin and play penguin games and go sledding. You can even own an igloo or a pet. VERY FUN!
