There tounges are so slimy and gross.

I have fed a few. I have worked in a zoo since 2001 and have been privileged to feed many “interesting” animals. I don’t think that the giraffe was that bad. I honestly think that dogs slobber more when you give them a treat than the herd I fed did on me. However, I fed them grain in my hand instead of solid graham crackers like at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I would suggest to anyone who has not done this to find a zoo that allows you do this, its pretty cool!

Yes back in 1987 when I was 2 cause granpa was friends with zoo keeper cause had been friends with the zoo keepers dad. The zoo keeper was about 25 at time and grandpa was pretty close to many ppl at the zoo soche had right conections that allowed me to feed zebras whose tounges our rougher then cats. When you are 2 the slightly slimy giraffe tounge tickles. I also got to help bottle feed baby elephant who lost his mama while he was being born but I didn't fulyk understand that but do remember grandpa asking what happen to elephantsm om andla ter when thought about the question around age 6 asked grandad and he told me what zoo keeper had told him. Elphant trunk was strong but kind of soft and as was baby didn't have as many prickly heres as older elephant might have had on the trunk. I have ridden on couple of those do toi nsane circumstances not to do with granndpa.

Yes, I have, at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I don't think their tongues are any more gross than mine; besides, they're cool because they're prehensile!

Yeah it was pretty cool. They have a very long tounge that they can wrap around your hand, really cool.

no but i fed a llama once and it licked my face it was by far the single most traumatizing event in my entire life

but they got these really sexy black lips,and their eyes are nice
guess you cant have everything
