I saw Dead Silence this weekend - and ever since I've been so scared of it! I can't even sleep in my room!

How do I get over this?

First thing, always remember it was JUST a movie... second, try watching a movie that one of the actors/actresses that stood out the most to you in the "scary" movie and find another movie that they played in that is NOT scary. It will probably re-create a different image within your mind so that the seemingly "realness" of the scary one is "watered" down from your mind. If that doesn't help, time will heal all horror... good luck!

STOP watching scary movies. That is only common sense. ( Not to be mean) start by leaving the light on for a few nights, then a lamp, then a night light . before long you will have it under control. If you do not seem to handle the situation after this then you might see your Dr. You may have an anxiety issue that you may need some help for. Good Luck

That's the whole point of scary movies, we're supposed to be scared! Otherwise it's just a waste of our money!

But thanks for telling us about DEAD SILENCE, I'll go see it this weekend for sure now!

First, stop seeing scary movies and second start sleeping in your room again. It wasn't scary before the movie and soon it won't be again. You must face your fears to overcome them.

well i have been seeing horror movies sinse i was a little baby and i have never really been afraid, but i notice that in this movie they don't scare you they suprise you like in movies where things pop out at you when you don't expect it, but if you really get scared then i like to do the thing where you have your back turned when you think something scary will happen and if that doesnt work thren you can maybe find better ways to face you fears..........

You get over a scary movie by reminding yourself it isn't real, and that monster is not going to attack you in your sleep or when the light is off. or maybe that is your fear, and you may never get over being sacred...so just don't see them!

it's just a movie not reality. They do lots of special efects and they create suspanse. There are actors who are paid to play.
But avoid horror movies. I didn't like them myself.

You have to remind yourself that those movies are fiction!!! Look at them for an adrenaline scare.
