If you had the money to buy the classic car of your dreams, what would it be. My dream car (which i am saving money for) is a 54 chevy belair convertible, baby blue and white. I want to one day be able to drive on the mother road with the top down.

oooooh. The 67, Z-28 was bad.
The XKE 4.2 Roadster was elegant and sexy.
The SS series Jag's of the thirty's were classy.

The old Tin Lizzie, Doctors Coupe, had style as long as you weren't in a hurry, had to stop on a hill or drive fast, (Model T Fast.) in the rain and a blast to drive with all the controls in the wrong place.

OK, favourite, Nissan 200SX, (Same body as 240SX in the U.S.) it's a 2000 cc (120 cu in) packing a turbo, for over 200 H/P, that will give a Porsche a run for it's money, at a fraction of the cost and fuel consumption. Handles like a dream and has a comfortable ride. yeah, that works! practical and efficient.

Don't get me wrong the 911 is an ICON and a great car if you don't mind sitting slightly right of steering wheel and pedal center. (Slightly to the left in Europe and the U.S.)

In order of preference: 1934 Ford three-window coupe (hot rodded) à la "The California Kid".
1940 Ford coupe - suede black with chrome reverse steelies, baby moons and a big-block Chevy backed by a Tremec five-speed.
1958 Plymouth Fury - Think "Christine".

Thanks for the two points.

boy, that is a tough one. the one you want isn't common. If you want one that is popular around that time I would sugest a mopar product such as a dodge. If your not concerned about resale value, chose what you like. Tough choice reguardless, thanks Gramps
