It is not the media, Jeremy. It is the people. No one that votes wants to waste their vote.
If the USA had 3 strong parties, then we would be just like South America. Every election would seem like the election was stolen. Without a majority winner, then no one will know if the winner was the one the voters really wanted.
The communist in Mexico almost won the minority vote and the Presidency of Mexico, even though it was clear that candidate would never be elected in a runoff vote.
So until we have voting cheap enough and secure enough that we can afford to have runoff elections, we need to stay with the two party system.
We could have a first and second choice type of voting so a runoff would not be necessary, but too many Democrat voters can't follow instructions as it is. Which is what happens when you pander to the bottom of the barrel.

YES!!! Since the media is either liberal Democrat or right wing Republican it is very hard for a 3rd party candidate. But not impossible. Ron Paul is running as a libertarian & I think he has a good shot of getting some media attention.

Yes the nation needs a Strong third party, the two party system is directly responsible for the polarization of the nation.

I don't necessarily believe the media is the predominant inhibitor, however a three party system does generally lead for some very boring politics as it forces compromise.

No I don't. The Green party is the reason Al Gore, that won the majority vote but not the electoral vote in 2000, lost the presidency...

You mean a second party. THe Republicans and Democrats are all one Aristocracy that has been bleeding us for over a century. They only pretend they are different so that we will vote for change and things will remain the same.

I don't agree with you. Two parties are enough. The media has nothing to do with allowing a third party.

No... This country needs a total revolution.

This revolution would be non-violent until WE THE PEOPLE took power once again.

Then, we would violently overthrow the secret societies such as the freemason's and Scull and Bones.

Then, of course, we would storm the federal reserve and burn it to the ground!
