My Idea vacation in the world would be a trek across the Australian interior. Straight through the desert, Talking to any indiginous tribes along the way, or at least to the elders who could tell me about the history of the areas. It would involve living of the land and checking out all the interesting geographic locales along the way. Nights looking at the stars from another hemisphere, Ideally with some colorful local characters, as well as helping in the towns and vilages with chores and work and day to day life as I passed through, to get to know what their lives are like a bit.

Actually, mine would be to just travel around the world for 2 years. Experience all the world has to offer, or as much as I can in the two years. Don't know how I would pay for it, but I guess thats why its the ideal vacation. Maybe work my way around the world at local bars and such... be a laborer, haha.
So, yeah that would be the ideal vacation. I want to go everywhere so once place for me wouldnt cut it. But I do know that right now top of my list is Asia, to narrow it down a bit. Maybe Thailand and Vietnam and Cambodia.... someplace out there, or even Mongolia and Tibet would be a cool trip to take....

Where to begin. I love history so I would love to spend about a month in the Eastern Mediterranean. I would start in Greece for about a week and visit Athens, Sparta and some of the major battle sites. Then take a cruise to Istanbul. Next I would fly to Egypt to visit all the temples that I could handle. I would end the vacation in Jerusalem, where three major world religions meet. That would be my ideal vacation.

If you like reasonably priced vacation, may I suggest the Philippines. You can visit the white sandy beach like Boracay. The Rice Terraces of Baguio City. Exotic resorts in El Nido. The Philippines was once a colony of Spain, USA & Japan. The culture is very diversified and people are warm and hospitable especially for tourist. The climate is warm and sunny but a bit humid from April to May. Food are mostly Sapnish influence but Chinese & Western food are also abundant. You won't spend a great deal to enjoy the Philippines.
