There are some things to consider ...
1. how old are you? 2. body type? 3. cost? 4. skirt or pants?
Of course, this is your son's time to shine ... so you want to look sophisticated, but you shouldn't draw attention away from him.

A semi-formal outfit of separates with a tailored blazer is good, giving you a sleek look ... and wearing a festive blouse under the jacket will let you have the ability to relax and have fun for the celebration later in the day.

Congrats to your son, Good luck & Good health!

It is totally up to you, I have been to several graduations where people are wearing anything from jeans or shorts to full suits for men and fancy dresses for women.

I would suggest a light dress, or nice blouse and skirt/dress pants. A linen pant would also be nice. You definitely want clothes that are comfortable because you will be sitting through a long ceremony as well as standing and posing for pictures after, so a longer skirt or dress would be best if you want to dress up, but dress pants would still be totally appropriate.

Congratulations!

A nice casual suit, such as linen or a dress will be fine; not too dressy. Most of all, make sure your shoes are comfortable because there is always a long walk between parking and the ceremony.

some off white/cream colored dress pants that are loose at the bottom. kind of baggy but, they're dressy. And a tourquise tank top with some shiney decoration and a cute jean jacket that is a tad bit lower than your belly button and some cute brown dressy sandals, with a wedge. those are hot. you don't want to go to too dressy but not to laid back and this hits it on the nose. and your still comfortable, posh, and ageless. have fun and good luck.

depends on the school really. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, which is extremely laid back. Most people wore very casual clothes, sun dresses, khakis, etc. My brother on the other hand graduated from Purdue, which is very traditional and ver formal. My mom wore a suit to my brother's and a sun dress to mine.

A nice suit would be apprpriate. Many one with a jacket and a skirt. The jacket could be short sleeve. A nice pastel color would do. Try department stores in their dress section, they usually have suits in that area.

A tasteful suit in a muted color would be perfect.
