Ok, seriously, I want opinions on this, good or bad?

Alright. I'm sick and tired of listening to people trash certain musicians just because they don't fall into the genre that the particular person likes to listen to. There are all these questions around here that say "of these bands, who is your favorite" and all these people answer like "they all suck i listen to (whatever they like to listen to) it's real music". Plus, i think lots of people have different ideas on what falls into what genre, and now there's the whole "pop-rock" genre (what do you put there? stuff you have no other place to put?)
And then there are the people who find music they like but decide not to listen to it because it's no the "cool" kind of music or not the genre that their friends like to listen to.
Personally, my music taste is whatever I want to listen to; if you want to talk about genres, then i literally listen to a little of everyting because I like what I like.
So i think the whole concept of categorizing music by genre is stupid. It limits people,

to some extent. I wish we could do away with it.
So what do you think? This is just my opinion and i want to know what other people think about it. Even if you think everything i just said was the most stupid thing you have ever heard, I would love your opinions

I agree judging music by genre is stupid and why limit your self to one genre? Theres new genres now that i have never even heard of and im still pretty young. All music is good music and you would miss out on sooo many great musicians out there. I personally hit random and watch out it could be anything from Patsy Cline to Slipknot.....

My opinion is that it does sound a splash stupid because of the fact they make those form and...(blah, blah, blah). yet they nonetheless make those to maintain the song so as , like for example hip-hop...those are with the rappers, beats, breakdancing...and the rock...the electrical powered guitars, making a song loudly, and the folk bypass loopy....So different people who do no longer care concerning the form ordering, they only say, " i do no longer care concerning the form of the song....i merely like the song..."and the different people who bypass with the form factor, "O, i admire the song on pop or r 'n' b.......
