a boxout is just a move used by post/block/ (people who play under the basket like a center) to get a rebound. Its never really a foul... you just position urself in front of the other person.

A boxout is when there is a shot and two opposing players are in position for the rebound.

Now to prevent the opposing player from getting the rebound you have to "box them out" which also means use your body to prevent them from getting the ball or close to the basket.

This is a foul when you use too much force and push the other player out of the way for the ball. The box out is allowed everytime the ball is up in the air

Boxing out is just another term for "blocking out". That is when you put your body in the way of your opponent to keep him from getting a rebound when the ball is shot. It is always allowed. The only time is is a fouled is if you push, shove or grab your opponent to get position.

i think of they might desire to function one greater loose throw attempt once you get fouled. 3 loose throws for a in many circumstances happening field objective attempt and four for a three factor attempt. i be attentive to that feels like overkill yet i think of that it might shrink the "hack a shaq" technique and boost the pace of the interest with the help of making communities fearful of fouling. it might surely make foul totals shrink in the league. additionally it might end the biggest project I see in the NBA this is the damn loose throw pageant you're forced to observe on the top of each and every semi close interest for the final 5 minutes while communities intentionally foul lower back and lower back.
