i need help, my ps2 makes a weird scratching noise while loading, i think it might be normal, but will that reading noise affect the disc, is it even possible for the ps2 to screw up a disc

i've had my ps2 sine they frist came out and it made the same sound so it took it appart and found out the the disk tray was off just a bit. it tends to happen a lot and yes it can really mess up the if your not careful

that also happened to mine but it only happens when you're forcing to make the ps2 read a scratched disc

i've taken apart my ps2 and unless you've put something out of place in it, it shouldn't be able to scratch the disk

a friend of mines did that once, he had torn the little gold paper thing on the inside. i would have it checked just in case it DOES mess up a disk.

that happened to mine.
it was fine for a while but then it stopped working and it damaged a few discs

i ended up getting a new one

that does nothing to the disk and that is normal it happens to mines.
