what are pros about homework. my brothers don't understand why homework is good for them. and i want to help them, and get my facts right. any ideas?

It helps you absorb more of what you learned in class. Explain that is just like in sports. You can't be an MVP just buy watching some guy play basketball. You have to practice and refresh. Homework does the same thing, only its for school instead of basketball.

Do they enjoy a sport.
Do they expect to get better at a sport if they practice.
So how do they expect to get better at a subject in school unless they practice.
I know the sport is more fun but, the other is useful, for example statistics. If you study Baseball you may find that certain players can only hit 1 out of every 5 pitches if they are curve balls. This would mean you have a better chance of a strikeout if you throw him curves. Can't do the math, and you can't play pro baseball.

Homework is basically a good time to practice the concepts you've learned during class. It also is beneficial in teaching you to work independently which is what you will have to do in college as well as on many jobs.
