Well if they weren't celebrities then only a handfull of people would even know about 99.9% of the stuff that these people do! Imagine having your every move photographed, videotaped, and then have a bad spin put on everything you do! It's very hard being a celebrity and having no privacy and you have to be aware of everything you do 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Personally I'm glad that Michael Jackson is "Michael Jackson" because he's wonderful!

We place these People so high that how can they have a NORMAL life.. they are stalked by paparazzi, everything they do or don't do is in a tabloid for the world to see, they have no real privacy, their lives are an open book, some literally, and they are surrounded by high priced clothes, cars , parties , drugs and temptations abundant and we expect what??.. If they are Normal enough to have a baby and have post partum blues like the rest of us, that is craziness... then roll over the rest of us.. were all joining that club.. We seem to expect too greatness because they get paid for it , high earnings, our praise.. Would you trade places?? being hounded, that's debatable.. Eating disorders.. i am so not happy over the powers that be that encourage or demand they get pencil thin, then complain they are sick and going too far. If we aren't careful , many more of our shinning stars and entertainers will fall from the lighted sky .. too many have already done ahead of them, and that is a tragedy none of us want repeated ..

I think Hollywood standards are just getting to be ridiculus. Yeah, they look fantastic but there thinner is better unfortunatly even if your ill because of this reasoning. The pressures are extremely high and everyone expects them to be perfect. I also think things may have always been like this but in recent years, we've become nosier in the lives of celebrites. Let them live their lives. Paparazzi need not be encouraged, stop buying People, Star and whatever other mags support those Paparazzi Bast@rds!!!! They chose a career where their in the public eye and contrary to what the rabid photohounds think, this does NOT entitle people to invade on thier personal lives. Stalking, taking pics while flying over stars homes, blocking stars into corners, causing car accidents, it needs to stop. I don't blame the stars for slugging paparazzi, they deserve it and more.

i call it CSD, Child Star Disease. it happens to almost every child star past and present. I'm sure Britney, Lindsay and Michael Jackson have had this effect their careers. Phil Specter on the other hand, he was a total nut and never was a child star.

Like really! Who wants to be a movie star if all ya get to be is miserable, and can you imagine being like old after having been a young movie star. Like a replaced old has been. Doesn't matter how many face lifts they have they're never going to get it back. Have ya noticed that when movie stars and Victoria Secret models get to be a certain age ya just don't see them any more. They get replaced by like 13 year olds. Someting else occurs to me having said that. Is the whole world like insane?

I find it funny sometimes- it's the stress by their manager and ppl- businuess ppl who wants nothing but money and good publicity. Britney Spears this year really got me this year. It's the stress that brings depression, frustration, eating disorders, and even sucide. The world is crazy. that's y we have to learn not to do these mistakes and just be u- but u gotta work hard ya know?

I know what you mean.
Britney Spears was GREAT as a bubblegum pop artist. Now she's a psychotic, fuzz-headed, car-beating, umbrella-breaking...um, did I mention psychotic?
As for Michael Jackson, he had some REALLY cool stuff in the old days. Now he's, like, an elf-faced, scrunched-up, pedophilic, animal-crunching...um, did I mention elf-faced?
Nevermind...
And not to mention Tom Cruise going beserk on Oprah and then that whole thing about going beserk about pharmaceuticals and then ranting about scientology! |:b

Seems like it, I'm glad I'm not famous. Britney was too young when she started, she grew up too fast and now already has 2 kids and has be divorced twice. Michael Jackson is just a lost cause....
