Listening to every phone conversation going on by every ordinary American citizen? As far as civil liberties are concerned, are we not still able to have any conversation we want on the phone? Do you censor what you are saying on the phone in fear that the government is coming for you? And finally, did you know you are a terrible American and not worthy of living in this country if you don't care if they ARE listening to your phone conversations in the name of National Security?

No one actually believes that 1. Bush lied. 2. That Bush actually violated any part of the Constitution. 3. That the wire taps by the government are illegal.
The entire objection to Bush, the War, and the Attorney General is politics. The Democrats are whining and crying about anything which they can twist and make look like Bush is doing something wrong. The whole purpose is win back control of Congress and the White House.
These scum would sacrifice half of the USA to win an election.

No, I don't believe that. Yes there are programs that do this, but they would probably not flag my conversations. No, I don't mind that the program listens.
Actually, it's kind of fun. You set up codes with your friends. C4 = Guinness RPG = Jameson's bomb = Youngs Oatmeal stout
Example: Hey Bob, want to go down to Toweys and get some C4.
No, Charlie, I feel more like getting a bomb and a couple RPGs
Drives the program nuts.

The Left's "Constitutional Red-Herring"!
This is the hype that the left has been promoting in another of their seemingly endless attempts to bring down Bush. The reality is that the only calls that are being monitored are those that go offshore...and of those that are to or from numbers that have been linked to known terrorists.
Ironically, it is the same folks, politicians and constituents alike, who complain about this non-issue, that will be first in line to blame Bush when there is another terrorist attack.
And their complaint will be that he didn't do enough to protect America!

Its supposed to be based off key words which is a joke because criminals would just speak in code. They would pick up more people joking around than anything.
The only good thing about it is they wont have to wait for a warrant if they are actually on to something.

Yep, I absolutely believe that there is one really lonely guy sitting in a small white room in a bunker at Norad listening to everyone's phone conversations trying to figure out if "taking gamma to the doctor on Monday" is really code for "I want to bomb downtown Washington D.C".
Of course, he went crazy two years ago and now spends most of his day curled up in a fetal position, eating his own hair, and mumbling about someone's dental appointment reminder.

If only one American citizen's privacy has been violated, it is an abuse of the Constitution.
And before you ask, your right to privacy is protected by a penumbra of the First Amendment. It's been ruled on by the Supreme Court.
Anything that is worth voluntarily giving up is not worth fighting for.

Great video by Alex Jones, of course there isn't enough manpower to listen to everyone. The computers are programmed to respond to certain key words, and develop a profile on you. You would be surprised how much advertisements are individually customized to brainwash you.
And yes I agree that those who don't care about the DOD intrusion into your private life aren't worthy of the freedom they have been gifted with.

Can you imagine the number of people it would take to perform such a task? We don't have facilities that size anywhere. It is going to be based off of key words that are picked up.
