I have about five, 1 to 1 and 1/2 foot long inch wide scratches, no dents in rear bumper. Needs to be sanded and painted. That's it.

It all depends on what color it is and how much coverage.
Most expensive paint for cars are red which is $80 a quart and yellow which is $120 a quart. Cheapest is black and white which is $40 a quart.

Two options:

1. (cheap way)...the shop will sand off the old paint, spray 1 coat of primer and let it dry. Wet sand and spray 1 coat of matching paint to car. let it dry then wet sand. Finally the gloss coat. Paint will chip after a year or two.
Cost $250-$375

2. (real way)....Sand off old paint. spray one coat of primer and let it dry. wet sand and spray another coat of primer and let it dry. wet sand and spray the matching color and let it dry. wet sand and spray the final coat of color and let it dry. and then finally the clear coat let it dry, wet sand and last clear coat. Paint will last for a much longer time.
Cost $500-$700

Well it depends....is if its just on the bumper then between 150 and 250. Although you would be surprised. But if its like on the side of the car the whole side will have to be painted for matching which could cost up too 700.
