Tickling triggers the same sensors that pain triggers...But without the pain, we laugh, instead of cry.

It's much the same as the process that babies go through in learning how to laugh...in babies, the trigger is usually fear, but in a situation where they're safe with their parents, there's no need to truly fear, so they learn to laugh.

being tickled is similar to being attacked so the panic strike creates hysterical laughter.

you lagh when tickled because the nerves send impulses to the brain that it is funny. you cant tickle youself because your brain knows its you.
