I was wondering if its possible/safe to have 4 internal hard drives, 2 SATA and 2 IDE in one PC.

I have 1 SATA, which is my master and has a small partition at the begining for the OS and 2 IDE drives that are set to slave. There is no problem with mixing the 2 standards. I used to have one of the IDE drives as master, but I reinstalled windows when I built my new comp.

yes it works. the HDD's need to be set to slave other than the master which should be a sata drive. also, it is best to raid the drives together.
