My little brother is 14 and wants a job this summer. Other than babysitting and lawnmowing and other common jobs, are there any out there that can pay a 14 year old descently?

Not going to happen for a 14 year old. The legal age is around 15/16.

Try:
--Lawn mowing job
--Dog walking/scooping job (you'd be amazed as to how many people would pay NOT to scoop their yards)
--Babysitting
--Newspaper delivery

Have your bro talk to your parents about possibly going with the stock market. It will impress your parents and only cost around $10/month with an amazing potential of gain. A friend of mine put in $200/year in the stocks and ended up with over $30,000 by the time he was 25.

When I look back at my high school and college jobs I wish I would have thought more long term. There are a lot of places where a 14 year old can start that can turn into a great career somewhere down the road.
For example, if you love electronics, get a job as a salesperson at Best Buy. Then after you're done with college move up to corporate! It works with any national chain: Gap, Target, Auto Zone, Victoria's Secret. Pick something you like and and it might turn into a career some day. Good luck.

I'm not sure what laws are like now, but when I was 14 I worked as a bus girl/dishwasher/waitress at a high class country club. Added bonus... everyone wanted to teach me new things... golf... cooking.

I also worked at a Hot Suff Pizza in a gas station, though I can't remember if I was 14 or 15 at the time.

Yes, but at 14 any jobs he would get are common jobs.
He has no Diploma, no job skills, no work card, no trade or profession.
LET'S GET REAL HERE
He has absolutely NOTHING to offer in skills does he?
What else is he good for then...other than the work you mentioned
Oh, I get it,...he wants to make BIG money this summer.....but he doesn't want to really WORK......right

I can't think of anything other than the ones you mentioned for 14 year olds. I don't think you can work with parental consent until you are fifteen.

Nope, just common domestic type jobs. Unless you know a small business owner who might need some help.
