You don't need a damn "scholar" to answer this question. You just need a fellow human being. Here's the answer. The human condition is confused and scared as hell. Everyone is just trying to make something of this thing called life. I think everyone is struggling to get all the "answers" through all kinds of means, most not the right means. People in this world are fighting struggles everyday within themselves.

I know this wasn't a "scholarly" answer, but screw it. That's what I think...

I'm not sure "scholars" are any bit more equipped to answer this than I. My thoughts on the "human condition" aren't very positive. Go back through history as far as you possibly can, & compare it to the mess we're in currently. (Many, many areas.) In my my opinion, it's a rather sorry state of affairs, & as long as the human race exists, I doubt it will change. Humans continue to do what they've always done, & the only "difference" is in the methods. I find it rather sad, but as inevitable as death. The human conditon is the NATURE od the beast. (I must add--the majority.)
