Is Bollywood getting too obsessed with the Bachchans, the Chopras, the Khans and the Johars?

With due respect to these people and I am a huge fan of them, but it seems like the media seems overly obsessed and makes it as though the industry comprises of only these people...and ignoring others..

you're correct in your assessmetn taht bollywood idolizes the good actors rich families of bollywood. but if you don't report news on these "hot families" of bollywood, who else would you report on? the minority actors, they're no good, the ones you listed up there are better. the johars, and the chopras, maybe no so much, except for uday chopra. priayanka chopra can't act at all and neither can bipasha basu and john abraham and akshay kumar. the khans can act. and arjun rampal, despite his delicious looks, he's a horrible actor. bollywood promotes an actor if they look good and act seductively and $exy. mallika sherawat and emran hashmi and udita goswami can't act, but for their "brave sex acts' they get a lot of money and they are popularized by a majority of indians and televised media critics simply b/c $ex sells, the ppl know that, the acotrs know that, the directors know taht, everyone knows taht and they all want it.

more tahn antyhing, bollywood obsesses with the bacchans a lot, but when you think of hte most influential the most inspiration bollywood figure in india, you'd think of amitabh b/c of his great repertoire. he's like the marlon brando, the johny orbach, the sylvester stallone of hollywood. amitabh is esentialy excludign shah rukh all bollywood has. thinking abt it shah rukh might even be better than amitabh. but anyhows, if you talk abt amitabh, it's an accomplishmetn in indian society. and i think that they shouldn't focus on aish's wedding so much b/c she's a crappy actress. yes sh'es frickin gorgeous, but she only plays in roles that hilight her "good" qualities. why she was in dhoom 2 i don['t know, but alll the other films she was in, portrayed her in a good light, without any danger involved and no Volaility what so ever, so she could play it safe. think abt devdas, shah rukh trully did an outstanding job, better than dixit even tho she was good, but a HeLuva lot better than ash.

Itz just that the majority of people are Bachchans, Chopras, or Khans. So seeing as how theyre the majority, they are given more coverage.
