S-class.

I fail to see the purpose of the CLS. E-class is the same size, but has a usable backseat. The backseat of the CLS is pathetic. It's practically nonusable. You're better off getting a CLK if you wanted a coupe.

These two cars are two very different personalities.
Although both are executive-level cars, you probably know the CLS carries much more of an exciting sporty character attributed by its design. Also note that it carries two seats in the back; if you have any family or tend to go on trips this may not be the best setup. The S Class doesn't carry this attitude and is a simple safe bet on an exec cruiser--somewhat of a cliche that never gets old.
Bottom line: Do you want something more unique with a bit of flair (at the expense of practicality)--CLS; or would you simply settle for a comfortable, tested, top sedan that has nearly everything you can think of (and although not as flashy, nobody will ever go wrong with an S Class).

That is a tough decision. If your more of a business man who wants a big car along with amazing features and your not to much of a sporty driver then i would go with the S550. Now the CLS to me is a little more on the sporty side which i prefer and would fit my driving style.

yo man - it is very simple S550 is a four door luxury sedan for boses or those who get lucky :D to drive them generally is not made for a 19-year old. sometimes even for a 25-year old CLS550 is a four door coupe. better looking car indeed - when S-klasse is ordinary, CLS-klasse is far away extra-extraordinary both cars have the most reliability ever on the market - we are not talking about fords or dodges or whatever is considered a car with a budget engine (like chevy cobalt or something) I would personally suggest you to stay with CLS but still would be happy for you if you get S good luck anyways
