Depends upon where you live in Florida and what you're comparing it to (where you're from). Anywhere near the big cities it will be expensive.

It really depends on what you include in the cost of living. The location in Florida also has some influence.
Your question without specifics is kind of like saying "Does something cost a lot in Florida?"
After you provide some details I might be able to provide a not so smart @ss answer.

Where exactly can determine how much... Hey Florida is a big state... should you live along the coast line can make or break your wallet.. Live in Central Florida, an area that is still very affordable. You can easily find information on the area of your interest with the internet.

Depends on what part of Florida that you move too. The Florida Keys are expensive. Tampa, St. Petersburg aren't to bad. Panama City is expensive, so is West Palm Beach. There are alot of small beach towns close to Cape Canaveral that aren't to expensive. Just check out the real estate market where you would like to move to.

Relative to what? And where in Florida are you talking about? Ft. Lauderdale compared to Wyoming would be very expensive. The Florida Panhandle compared to New York City would be very cheap.

About as much as anywhere else. What size house/apartment are you looking for?
Where I live the average decent 3 BR/1 BA home will cost you about $900-1100/month, that;s a few miles in off of the beaches. If you want to live right near teh water you're gonna pay twice that at least.
You can look at this paper for the western panhandle www.nwfdailynews.com You can also try www.thriftynickel.com to research housing costs for almost anywhere.

well there is no grocery tax state sales tax is an avg of 7.5% property taxes depends on where you live The property tax on autos are virtually non existent (about $25) there is no state income tax thus no personal state taxes are taken out. Insurance rates again depends on where you live the closer to the ocean the higher it is. Theme parks have nice discounts for Florida residents. So take it from there.
