Well, I'm also 13 and for some reason, I feel in your position...

1. You should determine what type of manga you are going to do (shoen, shojo, genre of the manga etc.) before you actually start. Rough sketch out characters, settings, I even write out the plot like a play before I start to draw it. My friend (who's better at mangas then me- I just make one kind drawings- just goes with whatever she feels like and the pages end up with a lot of erasing...)

2. Certain point of views for each panel is really helpful. Certain angles can be really difficult to draw. When I need help, I just read more manga and get ideas (and maybe trace those angles ^_^")

I don't know if this can really help but go for it ;D. oh and try to scan it so I can read it on the web ^_^

My problem is I don't think they're good enuff for colleges, ya know? But my advice to you is to practice drawing EVERY SINGLE DAY and perfect any area u think u aren't too confortable with. Practice, u just gotta. Watch more anime, get some ideas, but DON'T COPY. Read more mangas, and see the style u like and keep an eye out for the artist's point of view and the way he drew and made up the characters. trust me if u do these things, U WILL succeed- garantee it. Hoped this helped- I love helping ppl who wants to become an artist!
