I play the acoustic, but I want to buy an electric guitar. I'm looking for something around $300 but still good quality. Is that possible? =]

For only $300, you'll probably be OK with a Yamaha or an Ibanez. I also like Ibanez RG, but if you want a really good RG, you need a Prestige, and those are $750 and up. It pays, though, because they are the most versatile guitars I know of, once you add DiMarzio pickups.
Do NOT WASTE MONEY ON CRAP LIKE SQUIRE OR EPIPHONE. If you have to stay at 300, go Yamaha or Ibanez.

It's hard to get a really good quality for that price, but you may want to check out a Schecter or an inexpensive Stratocaster. ANything new for $300 might not be easy to find, but you can try looking around for a used one, or a knock off / imitation. Try Guitar Center or Sam Ash.

For that kind of money, it's hard. But I would say maybe a Jay Turser copy. They make good quality copies of famous guitar brands like Fender or Epiphone. They make good bass guitars too. They are pretty good for the price.

not really unless it's used, fender makes some of the best you can buy in a variety of price ranges. You want something that feels good to,and only you know what sounds and feels right.Do yourself a favor though spend the money.

Look at the Inbanez RG-series. I have one and am really pleased with it. Also look on ebay, your 300 will go a lot farther.
