What is the best way to apply eyeliner?????HELP?

Well, my mom says to only put it on top but ALL my friends put it below. I kind of want a dark but not TOO dark kinda look.

The bottom works best. Just don't over exaggerate when you apply it. You can put some at the top to go to a party, something at night because it will make your eyes look darker and that is something you don't want to wear during the day.

That is just about the cutest question I have seen in a long time! :)

Try a pencil first, you will have better control. Keep some q-tips around for mistakes, so you don't have to rub your whole eye if you mess up.

I suggest lightly pulling on the edge of your eye with your less dominant hand (likely your left), and applying it with the hand you use to write with. Stretching the eyelid tight will give you better control over how straight the line turns out. Start at the inside of your eye and work your way out. If you make the line thicker nearest the outside of your eye, this will make your eyes look bigger and more feminine. Don't draw too far past the eye, and you might try using a q-tip to make it a little softer near the outside edge.

Putting eyeliner on your lower lids has kind of gone out of fashion. It can make you look a lot older and really sleepy/messy if not done right. I would suggest if you put any on the bottom and all to do it really sparingly, and right along the lashline.

i use a black pencil eyeliner on top and a black liquid liner on the bottom. it's a nice dark look, but it's not "goth" dark. it's actually very nice looking. [ not only on me, but other people too. ] However if you choose to use liquid liner, make sure to practice a lot first and dont get discoraged if you cant get it just right the first few times. it took me a good while before i got the hang of it. It's pretty tricky, but to make it look non-skanky, pull your lower eyelid down so that the pink line right above your lash line shows. Then, gingerly and very slowly, put a line right above the lash line. This should do the trick. Never make a think black line of eyeliner. It'll make you look trashy.

i wear it below, right against the lashline.
its more common to wear it below for teens and young adults. Older adults seem to wear it on the top and bottom.

just wear it below with a complementary eyeshadow and some mascara. it completes any look!

since you want a sorta dark look. i would reccomend using a grey or brown (depending on your eye color)

Use black or milani " blue eyes" (this is a really dark shade) on the bottom lid with some black lengthening mascara, & you should be good to go & beautiful.
