What evidence supports the idea that tool use stimulated the beginnings of habitual bipedalism?

a cane i think is somewhere to start... that is a bat and a cane could be the one in the same.

also a spear cant be thrown if your hands are on the ground. come to think of it it's hard to throw anything with our hands on the ground.

I don't believe they are directly linked. It may have marked the beginnings of habitual bipedalism...

What is your source on this? If I had to guess, I would say its awfully hard to walk with your hand and carry something in it at the same time...
