Why do people always like to talk about themselves?

Is it part of our human nature? i have observed evidence of this right here on this sight, more answers occur in less time when the subject deals with themselves.

I believe this is because , apart of being egocentrics, there is nobody else, who knows oneself better than oneself!!!!

And there is no room for error, because one can actually create ones own life story, and nobody can tell one what that is!!!

When giving advise, like what is so frequently done on this site, people use experiences they have had. So given the circumstances, you will find people talking about themselves... At least on this site.
Now if you are referring to a more broad meaning of why people like to talk about themselves. On an average I would say you are right. there Are a lot of people who do like to talk about themselves... For many reasons. For example, some are lonely and are just trying to reach out, others could be doing it as a form to break the ice. Some people are very self-centred.
I would agree that it is human nature, but on many levels... As I mentioned there are many reasons why people are like this.

Aries communicate about themselves because we come across it to be the most suitable and unique topic of communicate. As for wanting compliments; it truly is a detrimental. No Aries will provide a **** if some different person likes or comiments them. we like ourselves sufficient for everybody.

I think that people talk about themselves because it is one topic that they know a lot about. It also has to do with everyone’s natural instinct to be loved. Talking about yourself gives you the opportunity to sell yourself to others.

think about it, people who are on here, not all, dont have people to talk to, and in telling of things that relate to them is a means of communicating with others, and yes certain people do like to talk about themselves at times, but not all the time, for those people are conceited or braggarts, but on the most part, most people just want to be appreciated, thats all

ya know whats even more annoying then people that talk about themselves is the "one up's" No matter what you say they alwayz have a story or comment that they think tops whatever you say... god people **** me off..
