In California, any one under 17 have to have a work permit, which only let's you work a certain amount of hours a week, and on school days between certain hours. Strict child labor laws.
But try the "MALL" retail stores, local grocery stores, you have to convince them that you will not let them down.....
Get good grades in school so you can get a scholarship to pay for school......

I grew up in Haysville in the early to late 60s. Have you tried the stores for bagging, stocking and stuff like that?
