You can't really compare them fairly because they play different positions that call for them to do different things. Tracy is one of the best at what he does, and Yao is one of the best at what he does. However, if the game was on the line, I would give the ball to Tracy. Did you not see what he did to the Spurs a few years ago (13 points in 30-something seconds)? I love my Rockets!

Yao...he's the guy in Houston...he's more advantageous consistent participant than Tracy. Tracy is one hell of a participant, more advantageous gifted than Yao and larger thrilling to video demonstrate yet Yao is the major clarification why the Rockets are a winning crew today.

Of course both are born with talent, but McGrady had to work to be a ball handler and shooter. Yao was given height, and an easy shot over everybody else.

It is really hard to compare the two-Kind of like comparing Kobe to Shaq. They have two different styles of play, one is a slasher and the other is more dominant. It depends on what you type of player you like in basketball. I go for dominance because there are far less Yao and Shaq type players than there are TMac and Kobe type players
