what is internal conflicts and what is external conflicts???

A civil war would be internal, and a war with a neighboring country would be external.
Think Iraq now, and then think Iraq versus Iran in the 80s.
Internal - diarrhea, external someone wants to beat you up. ;-)

Internal conflict- when a character is fighting inside himself (guilt, indecision, ect)
external conflict-a war, fight with other character, ect.fighting outside of self/mind

internal conflicts are the arguments you have with your self (conscience) and external conflicts are the ones you have with others.
